The three si-patterns, and the golden rule: « si » never takes a conditional.
1. Si + présent → futur: « si tu viens, on ira ». 2. Si + imparfait → conditionnel: « si tu venais, on irait ». 3. Si + PQP → conditionnel passé: « si tu étais venu, on serait allés ».
« Si » hates -rais. Never « si je voudrais » — always « si je voulais ». The conditional lives in the OTHER clause.
💡 « Si » déteste le -rais : si je voulais, pas si je voudrais.
