💡 Les points clés
The big one: French puts a space before the two-part marks ; : ! ? and inside « ». « Ça va ? » not « Ça va? ».
Days, months and languages are lowercase: « lundi 3 janvier », « je parle français ». But a PERSON’s nationality is capital: « un Français ».
Use French guillemets « » for quotes, and the em-dash « — » to open lines of dialogue.
