💡 Les points clés
The plural -s is SILENT — « livre » and « livres » sound identical! The article tells you: « le/un » (sing.) vs « les/des » (plural).
Words ending in -s, -x, -z don’t change: « un choix → des choix », « le nez → les nez ».
The famous seven -ou words that take -x: bijoux, cailloux, choux, genoux, hiboux, joujoux, poux. All others just add -s.
