💡 La timeline
Three layers of past : plus-que-parfait (had done) → passé composé / imparfait (did / was doing) → présent.
Same être/avoir choice and agreement rules as the passé composé — if you know one, you know both.
Signal word : déjà (already) loves the plus-que-parfait.
