envoyer in real spoken French
On this page
Chucking files over and going full throttle.
Envoyer between friends
« Je t’envoie » is already elided on paper; in the mouth it shrinks again to « j’t’envoie », two beats. « Je vais t’envoyer » collapses to « j’vais t’envoyer », and the ne of a negation simply goes: « j’envoie jamais de cartes », « il m’a pas envoyé le fichier ». Envoyer survives intact; the pronouns in front of it melt together.
For files and messages, the street synonym of envoyer is « balancer »: « balance-moi le doc », chuck it over. It is familiar, never rude, and completely normal in a group chat. « Envoyer la sauce » means to give it everything: a DJ raising the volume, a cyclist attacking, a cook pouring generously. Both stay between friends.
