Which verbs demand « à », which demand « de » — the B1 memory game.
Verb + à
commencer à, réussir à, apprendre à, penser à, hésiter à. « J’apprends à conduire. »
Verb + de
finir de, décider de, essayer de, oublier de, avoir envie de. « J’ai décidé de partir. » And modals take nothing: « je veux partir ».
💡 Les modals (vouloir, pouvoir, devoir) = infinitif direct.
