The verb’s most famous idiom is a polite way to say mind your own business.
Ça ne te regarde pas means that’s none of your business — literally, that does not look at you. In this sense regarder means to concern, and the construction is fixed.
The neutral version is common in professional French: « cela ne me regarde pas » — that’s not my area, I have no say. Said calmly it is not rude at all; it simply marks a boundary.
