The present takes over
Mid-story, natives jump to the present for drama: « Hier, je marche tranquille, et là un mec me dit… » — the présent de narration. The passé composé opens the story, the present carries the action.
Story glue
« et là » (and then), « du coup » (so), « genre » (like), « il me fait » (he goes…). Shadow the audio: storytelling rhythm is the real lesson.
