The connectors that command the subjunctive — DELF B2’s favourite trap.

+ SUBJONCTIF

« bien que » (although): « bien qu’il soit tard ». « afin que / pour que » (so that), « à condition que » (provided that), « à moins que » (unless), « avant que » (before).

+ INDICATIF — the contrast

« parce que, puisque (since), étant donné que, après que » stay indicative. Yes — « après que » takes the indicative (the action really happened!).
