Poser des questions at B1 — l’inversion

The formal register: invert, hyphenate, and add the euphonic -t-.
Inversion = verb-subject
« Parlez-vous français ? », « Où habites-tu ? » — the formal way, essential for writing and politeness.
The euphonic -t-
Between two vowels French inserts a « t » for sound: « A-t-il fini ? », « Va-t-elle venir ? ». It means nothing — it just saves your ears.
Qu’est-ce qui vs qu’est-ce que
« Qu’est-ce qui se passe ? » (what = subject) vs « Qu’est-ce que tu fais ? » (what = object).
